Dr. Yasuko Erickson spent a fourth year rotation in 2002 with Dr. Szakacs working on the musculoskeletal cases as part of her training here at the University of Utah. She developed the first version of html files in Word as the basis for our cases on the web. Yasuko is now a resident in Pathology at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Belinda Trieu did a fourth year research rotation with Dr. Szakacs in 2002 working on the cardiovascular cases. Belinda is now a Pathology resident at Baylor, Houston, Texas.

Aaron Weiss is currently a second year medical student at the University of Utah. He worked in the "Summer Software Development Program" with Dr. Szakacs in 2003 to develop version 2.0 of the website in Dream Weaver. Aaron also participated in new case development in the GU and Reproductive sections.

Dr. Dana Gingell spent a fourth year rotation in 2003 with Dr. Szakacs working on the genitor-urinary cases as part of her training here at the University of Utah.  Dana worked on the histories, pathology including photography and formatting lab data.  Dana has been accepted into the Pathology residency at Rush to start July 2004.

 

Gary Jackson has worked as the web developer for the Department of Pathology for 4 years. He has provided important assistance in teaching all of us how to work on the internet and has supported the Pathology website for the students and previously WebPath since his arrival.

Dr. Juliana Szakacs is Professor of Pathology, Director of Autopsy and Course Director for General and Systemic Pathology at the University of Utah. Juliana has taught at the University of South Florida, Tufts, and Dartmouth and is interested in Case Based Teaching and Problem Based Learning.
