The patient is a 46-year-old female with past medical history significant for infertility, gravida 5, para 2, her last child was born 3 years ago by emergent C-section and she has only recently stopped breast-feeding. She now notes a mass in her right breast.
She states that this area is not tender and has not changed in size. She reports no past breast history of cyst drainage or biopsy. She has no family history of breast cancer. She does not take birth control or hormone pills. She denies any nipple discharge.

No mammogram was done, but an ultrasound on 10-09 revealed a 25 x 15 mm solid mass with posterior acoustic shadowing and an irregular border which was felt to be consistent with a solid mass at the site of the clinically palpable mass.
