On June 10 the patient developed a pulmonary embolism. He was taken
to Interventional Radiology and a Greenfield filter was placed in his
inferior vena cava.
Despite extensive pressor support and fluids, the patient's condition
continued to deteriorate and support was withdrawn on June 11.
