Histo-pathology showed a malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumor grade II/III. The stomach, spleen, and tail of the pancreas were involved. Distal and proximal margins were negative for neoplastic change. There was no evidence of malignancy in 15 lymph nodes. There was normal gastric mucosa overlying the tumor with chronic inflammation.
