As residency coordinator, Amy is responsible for the day-to-day running of the residency program.  A few of Amy's jobs are: resident conferences, evaluations, rotation and on-call schedules, recruitment, ACGME compliance, resident portfolios and travel.  She also helps with the Surgical Pathology Fellowship program, visiting residents, and the surgical pathology resident rotations at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.

Just as important is the care and feeding of the residents.  Getting broken pagers fixed, ordering breakfast for conference, buying books for the resident library and building a resident slide library are all within the realm of residency coordinator duties.

Amy is also the go-to person  for  questions regarding recycling in Salt Lake City,  finding a good restaurant or  a good snowshoeing trail, and for all things cooking related.
