Congratulations Dr. Jarboe


We are excited to announce that Dr. Elke Jarboe, a researcher in the Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology divisions of our department has been presented with the 2009 Robert E. Scully Young Investigator Award!  Since 1998, this prestigious annual award is given by the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists for the best article printed in the Society journal, the International Journal of Gynecological Pathology.  Dr. Jarboe was given the award for her article entitled: "Serous Carcinogenesis in the Fallopian Tube: A Descriptive Classification" which is based on research that she completed with Dr. Christopher Crum during her Women’s and Perinatal Pathology Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, before coming to the University of Utah.
