DESCRIPTION:This 23.75 hour symposium provides a review and update in 
 the areas of clinical immunology\, microbiology\, and infectious disea
 ses\, aiming to improve knowledge about the pathogenesis and clinical 
 manifestations of infectious diseases\, immunological mechanisms of di
 sease and disease prevention\; appropriate approaches to the diagnosis
  of infectious and immunologic disorders\, and the utilization of the 
 clincial microbiology and immunology laboratory\, including selection 
 and interpretation of results.  \n\nThis course will provide a forum f
 or the exchange of ideas dealing with microbial infections as well as 
 immunity to infectious diseases and immunogolic disorders. \n\nThe Uni
 versity of Utah School of Medicine designates this educational activit
